Term of Services - Satit Chula Classroom Tools

Effective date: 1 September 2026

Please read this before using Satit Chula Classroom Tools. It explains what the tool is, who may use it, and the rules for using it. If you are a student and anything here is unclear, ask a teacher or the contact at the bottom of this page.

1. What this is

Satit Chula Classroom Tools ("the Tool") is a Chrome extension that adds features to Google Classroom for โรงเรียนสาธิตจุฬาลงกรณ์มหาวิทยาลัย ฝ่ายมัธยม ("the School").The School provides and operates the Tool for its own community, and runs the servers and database behind it.Loxley Orbit developed and maintains the software on the School's behalf.

The Tool is provided by the School as part of its own systems. It is not a commercial product, is not sold, and there is no charge to use it.

2. Who may use it

The Tool may be used by members of the School community — teachers, staff, and students — who sign in with a School Google account (@satitm.chula.ac.th). Anyone without a School account will be refused.

Because the Tool is used by students, some of whom are minors, students use it as part of the School's own educational activities and under the School's supervision, in the same way they use Google Classroom itself.

3. What the Tool does for different people

Not every feature is meant for everyone:School branding applies for everyone who uses Classroom.Attendance recording is a staff function. Attendance is an official School record, and only teachers and authorised staff may record or change it.The workload indicator appears when creating an assignment, which is a teacher action.

In normal use students see only the School branding; the attendance and workload features do not appear for them. If a staff-only control ever does appear to you, seeing it does not mean you are permitted to use it — see section 4.

4. Rules for using the Tool

You agree to use the Tool only for legitimate School purposes. You must not:record, change, or delete attendance for any class unless you are the teacher or authorised staff member responsible for it;use another person's account, or let anyone else use yours;attempt to access data belonging to classes you are not part of;attempt to bypass, disable, or interfere with the Tool's sign-in or security, or probe the systems behind it;use the Tool to harass, impersonate, or mislead anyone;copy, modify, or redistribute the Tool outside the School without the School's permission.

Misuse may be handled under the School's normal disciplinary and IT policies, and access to the Tool may be withdrawn.

5. Your account and your responsibility

You are responsible for what is done through your School account while you are signed in. Keep your account secure and sign out on shared computers. If you think someone else has used your account, tell the School promptly using the contact below.

6. Attendance records

Attendance recorded through the Tool forms part of the School's records. It is the responsibility of teaching staff to ensure it is accurate. If you believe an attendance record about you is wrong, raise it with your teacher or the School — do not attempt to change it yourself.

7. Availability and changes

The Tool is provided as is and as available. The School does not guarantee that it will be available at all times, free of errors, or that it will always work with future versions of Google Classroom, which is operated by Google and can change without notice.

The Tool is early-stage software still being improved. Features may change, be added, or be removed. The School may suspend or discontinue it at any time.

To the extent permitted by Thai law, neither the School nor Loxley Orbit is liable for any loss arising from use of, or inability to use, the Tool. Nothing in these terms limits any liability that cannot be limited by law.

Attendance is a School record and should not be treated as infallible: if an attendance decision matters, confirm it with the responsible teacher rather than relying on the Tool alone.

8. Privacy

How the Tool handles personal data — including student names and attendance marks — is described in the Privacy Policy, which forms part of these terms. Please read it alongside this document.

9. Google Classroom

The Tool works on top of Google Classroom and Google Workspace, which are provided by Google under Google's own terms. These terms cover the Tool only; your use of Google Classroom itself remains governed by the agreements between you, the School, and Google.

10. Changes to these terms

These terms may be updated as the Tool changes. When they are, the effective date above will change, and the current version will be published at this address. Continuing to use the Tool after an update means you accept the revised terms.

11. Ending access

The School may withdraw access to the Tool from any user at any time, including when someone leaves the School or breaks these rules. You can stop using the Tool at any time; if it was installed on your device by the School's administrator, ask the School to remove it.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Kingdom of Thailand.
